Culture of Compassion

One of our core principals is to create an organizational culture that is healthy, compassionate and focused on the mental,  emotional, and physical well-being of our team members.  Constant exposure to the often horrific experiences of survivors of trauma can increase the risk of vicarious trauma for a team member.  It can negatively affect productivity and diminish our effectiveness in providing high quality services for our clients.  Our internal organizational focus is as important as our external delivery of services. We recognize and celebrate the healing community from within...with our staff as well as our community partners and providers who are aligned with us in this work. 

 

CITRC incorporates self-care and daily wellness time for all staff that is strongly encouraged and included as part of the work day.  CITRC staff and clients have direct access to an on-site wellness center that allows for restorative periods throughout the day as needed.
